With elections, the new school year and major operational refinements to the community’s emergency responders slated, many residents have growing concerns about changes coming to Seymour.
To better inform the public, the Seymour Volunteer Fire Department will host a forum Aug. 13 in the auditorium at Seymour High School.
The event will begin at 6 p.m. and is expected to last two hours.
“We want people to understand that their fire service in this area is changing,” said SVFD Fire Chief Kevin Nunn. “It is changing because of the demographics and this happens to all fire service organizations as a community progresses over time.”
