Of all the changes taking place at Seymour High School before the new school year begins one of the more significant moves is the three new assistant principals.
In addition to John Robinette and Janet Johnson, Troy Kelley is one of the new administrators who will fill a familiar role.
“While I enjoyed my experience as a full-time instructional coach over the last two years, I was ready to return to an administrative role,” Kelley said. “I was excited when (Kristy) Wallen called and told me I was hired to be an assistant principal in addition to my instructional coaching role at SHS.”
Kelley started his career as a teacher for Sevier County High School in 1991 where he taught Freshman English and coached freshman football, as well as wrestling.
