Ace pitcher and leading hitter Carly Lewis was recently named to the Tennessee Sports Writers Association’s All-State team as well as Player of the Year in the IMAC.

It was the second year in a row Lewis, a rising senior, made all sate as she was given the honor last season after leading her team to a surprise final four finish.

This season the Lady Eagles made an unprecedented return trip to Murfreesboro but bowed out early after going 0-2.

Lewis earned the honor based on her outstanding pitching, hitting, and field play at first base. All three of these added up to her honor as a “utility player” which means a player is valuable in various functions.
