Despite the wet weather of the last couple weeks, there has been plenty of activity on the improving Hwy. 66 project.

Last week Blalock & Sons Construction finished paving base layers and shifted northbound traffic to the new outside lanes in Phase II of the project (Douglas Dam Road to south of the I-40 interchange).

Blalock crews also continued sidewalk construction and resumed median storm drain installation.

Utility relocations (electric, communications, water, sewer, and gas) in Phase II are now substantially complete.
