After moving to a new location, an old South Knoxville restaurant was reduced to rubble.

The McDonald’s formerly located at 6526 Chapman Hwy. was demolished by a crew late last week.

“The land was leased to us by McDonald’s Cooperation,” said Jim Tram, Marketing Supervisor for the Cochran Family Restaurant which operated the location. “Once we moved out of there that was the end of our involvement with the land.”

The Cochran Family restaurant was relocated to a new facility at 7545 Mountain Grove Dr.
