To provide residents with a larger timeframe to cast their ballots, early voting for the August 2 election will begin July 13 and last until July 28.
“It is really important to come out and vote in the primary and not just wait until the general election,” said Ronee Flynn, administrator for the Sevier County Election Commission. “Voters can only vote for a candidate once if they don’t win.”
Early voting will be held at Voting Machine Warehouse, 1145 Dolly Parton Parkway in Sevierville. Polls will be opened at the Voting Machine Warehouse from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to Noon for Saturdays.
Seymour residents can use a closer remote location at Seymour Branch Sevier County Library located at 127 W. Macon Lane.
