Since former Seymour High School Principal Greg Clark’s recent decision to transfer to a new administrative post, many have wondered how the new principal’s transition will begin.
Kristy Wallen, who was an Assistant Principal at SHS for three years prior, said she is looking forward to her new position.
“I’m excited for the opportunity,” she said. “I think we have a great group of teachers, students, and supportive parents. I’m proud to be able to represent Seymour.”
Wallen started working at Seymour Middle School in 1988 as a math and science teacher and later transferred to the high school to teach and has spent 12 years there thus far.

She has a lot of hard work ahead. SHS is missed up. Guys chewing tobacco and spitting all over campus and the buses, dress code she doesn’t enforce or follow herself, rooms unlocked with teachers arriving late allowing kids to run amok, students using cell phone during class to txt and facebook. A policy of no final exam prepares students for college how?
