A fire erupted in a Seymour mobile home after neighbors heard what was described as a large explosion.

The incident took place at about 1:30 p.m.  in the Midway Trailer Park on Maryville Hwy.

According to neighbors, Ernestine Cagle was on the porch of her home with her great-granddaughter when an explosion occurred.

“I was in the living room with the baby and then I heard a boom,” said Cigi Goddard, granddaughter and neighbor to Cagle. “I saw smoke and fire. We went in there and tried to put it out with pitchers of water.”
