Blount County Sheriff James Lee Berrong said a 49-year-old Maryville man is charged with aggravated assault following an altercation Sunday morning that led to the stabbing of another man.
The victim of the stabbing, Dustin James Cooper, Butler Mill Road, Maryville, is in stable condition at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. Cooper was flown to U.T. Medical Center by LIFESTAR Sunday morning following the stabbing.
Mark Andrew Webb, 49 of Maryville, is being held on a $15,000 bond pending a hearing in Blount County General Sessions Court at 9 a.m. June 29.
Blount County Sheriff’s deputies responded to Cooper’s residence at around 9:30 a.m. Sunday to the call of a stabbing. When deputies arrived, they found Cooper bleeding from his abdomen.
