As with all county services, the implementation of any change is largely a budgetary issue and 911 services in Sevier Count is no exception to that truth.

The Sevier County Emergency Communications District, which manages the area 911 service, held a board meeting June 11 that focused on the proposed 2013-2013 budget.

At the meeting an estimated total operating revenue of $1,258,000 was proposed.

The budget included a 2.5 percent salary increase and longevity bonus for employees.
