It is well known most elected officials will rank serving the community at the top of their list of priorities, and the level of service provided by Sevier County Clerk Karen Cotter is proof of her dedication to this ideal.
“I was appointed by the County Commission in August 2010 to serve as Interim Clerk until the 2012 election,” Cotter said. “I chose to run for County Clerk in order to continue to serve the citizens of Sevier County. I enjoy being able to help people.”
In order to provide services such as title registration, processing Notary Public applications, and issue hunting, fishing, business, and marriage licenses, Cotter believes professionalism among herself and her staff is a necessary element.
“I have opened up more window space that will allow better service and less crowding in the hallways,” she said.
