The assistant chief of the Sevier County Volunteer Fire Department now faces drug and domestic violence charges stemming from an incident which took place last weekend.
Assistant Chief Michael Huskey and his wife, Jodie Huskey, have both been charged with possession, sale and manufacture of narcotics after Sevier County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to the couple’s home in Sevierville for a domestic dispute at about 2 a.m. June 3.
According to an incident report provided by the Sevier County Sheriff’s Department, both Michael and Jodie Huskey claim an argument broke out between the couple at about midnight Saturday. In her statement to officers Jodie Huskey claimed that her husband had marijuana in the couple’s residence.
Officers did find marijuana in the home and subsequently arrested both Michael and Jodie Huskey. Both were released on $5,000 bonds.
