A local parade that honors our nation’s Armed Forces will be held this weekend.
The fourth annual Proud to be an American Parade will be held at 3 p.m. June 10 in Maryville.
It will feature Shriners, Gold Star Mothers, WWII Veterans as Grand Marshals, mascots, antique tractors and cars, and many patriotic themed participants.
The parade will honor, remember and thank those who have served our nation in the military both in times of war and peace, as well as serving as thanks for their families for their service and sacrifice as well.
The free event will begin in front of CBBC Bank on E. Broadway and the first 500 Veterans in attendance will receive a free t-shirt.
