As a way to personally introduce themselves to their supporters, Republican candidates in the Sevier County area will speak at a rally June 9.
The event, which is hosted by the Sevier County Republican Party, will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is open to the public with no admission cost required. A free BBQ lunch will also be served.

The Boy Scout Troop 119 will present the colors at the beginning of the program and the Girl Scouts will retire them at the conclusion.

The candidates are not hosting this event. It is hosted by the Sevier County Republican Party. The candidates are invited guests.
The only individual mentioned in this article who is an official of the SCGOP and authorized to speak for the Party is Chairman Sonny Coane. While the Tea Party may endorse candidates prior to the completion of primaries, the Republican Party is precluded from doing so in the interest of fairness. The people decide who the Republican candidate for any office will be, not some board of directors or steering committee. The Sevier County Republican Party will endorse and support the candidates for each elective office once the people have decided who that candidate should be through the primary process.
