A shooting which took place during a robbery in South Knoxville left one teenager in critical condition.

According to a Knoxville Police report, at 10:46 a.m. May 23 two 15 year old boys and a 17 year old boy attempted to rob South Side Market, a convenience store located in the Vestal community.

Joseph Armes, who was the clerk working during the attempted robbery, said he saw the teens approaching the store wearing masks and bandanas.

Similarly, a witness saw the teens coming up to the store and said one of them tried to pull an item out of a backpack.
