Medic Regional Blood Center is proud to partner once again with the Tennessee Smokies and Chick-fil-A in efforts to save lives in the community.

Now through Labor Day, all donors will receive a coupon for a free Chick-fil-A sandwich and a chance to win a pair of tickets good for any regular season Smokies home game.

“The summer is a difficult time for us and these two organizations have always supported the community blood center and for that we are grateful,” said Christi Fightmaster, Medic spokesperson.

Blood donations tend to decline during the summer months for many reasons, according to Medic.   Some of the area’s industrial plants get too warm during summer months to host drives and, in general, people just are busy during the summer with kids out of school, planning vacations, etc.
