Foul play is suspected for two separate fires which occurred during the same day.

Both of the fires ignited at 136 W. Moody St. in South-Knoxville. The first fire started at approximately 2:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.

“Upon arrival our units found heavy fire from the front of the structure,” said Brent Seymour, EMS Chief for the City of Knoxville Fire Department. “Crews made an aggressive interior attack and quickly brought the fire under control. No one was in the house at the time of the fire.”

Seymour added nobody was living in the home at the time and based on conversations with neighbors, it has been confirmed the residents had moved out about six months prior.
