Many motorists noticed new traffic pattern shifts along Hwy. 66 this week.

Blalock & Sons Construction crews shifted southbound traffic Sunday night to the new outside lanes in Phase II of the project. Officials ask that motorists use caution while traveling through this new pattern.

Next week, short duration traffic stops should be expected daily throughout the project as crews move equipment and materials in and out of the work zone.

Also in Phase II, Blalock crews continued placement of rip rap and grout on the slope above the retaining wall. They also continued work on storm drain installation, utility relocation, and concrete curb, gutter and sidewalk construction.
