As recognition for her outstanding accomplishments in the pool and also in the classroom, University of Tennessee Lady Vol swimmer Kelsey Floyd was tabbed a Capital One Academic All-District honoree for the second-consecutive season.

Coming off a year where she earned seven All-America honors at the NCAA Championships, six being first team, the rising senior now ranks sixth in Lady Vol history in All-America certificates with a tally of 18.

Over the course of the banner season at UT, the Lexington, Ky., native won 20 events, highlighted by taking the top spots in the 200y fly and both medley relays at the Southeastern Conference Championships For her efforts she was named to the All-SEC First-Team, being an integral part of the Big Orange’s second-place finish at the league meet held in Knoxville.

Heading into her season campaign Floyd has been named First-Team All-SEC in each of her three seasons, while earning a spot on the SEC Winter Academic Honor Roll in 2011 and 2012 and the SEC Freshman Academic Honor Roll in 2010.
