With two separate phases of the Improving Hwy. 66 project well underway, some minor traffic shifts have been made.

Blalock and Sons are currently working on Phase II of the project, which stretches from Douglas Dam Road (SR-139) to south of the I-40 Interchange.

Last week in Phase II Blalock crews continued placement of rip rap on the slope above the retaining wall.

They also continued work on storm drain installation; utility relocation; and concrete curb, gutter, and sidewalk construction.
