With the recent losses caused by fires it is important for residents to be aware on the necessities of fire prevention.

A fire at 4236 Meadow Circle in Kodak not only resulted in structural damage, but also the loss of a life.

According to Sevier County Sheriff Ron Seals a body was found in the rubble of the burnt home.

After an autopsy the body was identified as that of Jessica R. Meyers, 30, the resident of the home. The autopsy reveled Meyers died due to smoke inhalation.
