The Seymour Eagle baseball season is over. After a very successful regular season, the Eagles lost in the district 2-AAA tournament to Morristown West 1-0.
Seymour had already lost to the Trojans earlier. This was the second loss in the double elimination tournament at Morristown.
The Eagles needed just one more win to make it to the championship game.
Ironically the other loss to the Trojans in the tournament was also 1-0 as the Eagles bats were silent in both games. A big reason for that was Morristown West’s pitcher Andrew Lee who has signed to play for the University of Tennessee baseball team.
