Within just minutes of each other, two automobile accidents occurred on Chapman Hwy. at about 10:30 a.m. May 9.

The first accident involved Randy Nasworthy of Seymour who was driving a mid-sized Dodge car in the northbound lane of Chapman Hwy.

The accident occurred when Nasworthy was driving past the Hardee’s restaurant on Chapman and a woman driving a Nissan Maxima pulled out of the restaurant’s parking lot and collided with his vehicle.

Deputy Bob Burdren of the Sevier County Sheriff’s Department responded to the collision. The Seymour Volunteer Fire Department was also on the scene.
