With the closure of one restaurant location, Cochran Family McDonald’s is bringing a modernized version closer to Seymour.

The former location, which was at 6526 Chapman Highway, was closed for good by the end of April.

“It was time to modernize the store and we had to decide if we should renovate the old one or build a new location,” said Tom Cochran, owner of the franchise. “We wanted to better service our customers with a new property.”

Cochran also listed the position of the restaurant near the intersection of Chapman and John Sevier Highways as pivotal in his decision to move the restaurant and build it from scratch.
