In their last district 2-AAA competition of the regular season, the Seymour tennis team split with Jefferson County as the boys won 8-1 and the girls lost 7-2.

It was a rare loss for the Lady Eagles, but the loss came against tough competition to the Lady Patriots.

Lady Eagle standout Ty Wallen played her usual game however, and was the only individual winner on the girls’ team with an 8-5 win.

Wallen also was on the only doubles team with a win along with teammate Darla Carrodeguas as they won 8-6.
