The Seymour tennis team split recently with cross-county and IMAC rival Sevier County as the girls won again but the boys lost.

Again the girls were led by standout Ty Wallen with an 8-2 win which helped lead to a 7-2 team victory.

Wallen was followed by other individual wins as Alexis Pierce won 8-5, Karla Carrodeguas won 8-3, Savanna Goodin won 8-3, and Mary Vasylyeva won 8-4.

In doubles, Wallen and Pierce of Seymour won 8-5, and Carrodeguas and Goodin won 8-6 in a close match.
