The Seymour Middle School girls’ and boys’ golf teams took care of business last week as the girls finished first winning the district championship and the boys were runner up at Ruggles Ferry Golf Course.
This means both girls and boys will move on to the regional tournament at Lambert Acres Golf Course in Maryville on May 8 (the top three teams in the district move on to the regional tournament).
Once again, seventh grader Katelyn Witucki led the girls with a 46, followed by Mollie Webb with a 51.
Witucki also took the medalist honors along with Wesley Jones of the Seymour boys’ team with a 37.
