The Seymour Lady Eagle softball team suffered a rare loss to Jefferson County recently by a close score of 2-1.

The loss dropped Seymour from first place alone to a three-way tie with Jefferson County and Morristown East.

Seymour trailed after building an early lead in the game of 1-0 when Kailyn Grady drove in Brittany Drysdale. The Lady Eagles left base runners in scoring position several times.

The Lady Patriots tied the game with a fifth inning solo homerun which changed the momentum.  Carly Lewis was in the circle for the Lady Eagles.  She ended up with 10 strikeouts and gave up four hits.
