In their first home meet of the season, the Seymour track team was impressive as the boys finished first while the girls finished third.

Both the boys and the girls collected several first place finishes which is an indication of the depth of the athleticism in the Seymour track program headed up by Coach Cotton Julian.

The Seymour Eagle boys won the meet with 180 points followed by Morristown East with 165, Gatlinburg-Pittman with 153, Grainger County with 59 and Cosby with 19.

The Eagles finished especially strong in the discus competition, outscoring all their opponents 23-9 while taking first, third, fifth and sixth.
