Blount County Sheriff James Lee Berrong said a discarded “one pot” method methamphetamine lab was found by a resident who lives on Dewberry Drive.

The meth lab was found in a grassy area off Dewberry Drive in Kensington Place Mobile Home Park. The “one pot” method contained the hazardous remnants of the meth lab. It is not known when the meth lab was discarded, or how long ago a meth cook took place.

Investigators with the Fifth Judicial Drug Task Force, along with the Tennessee Methamphetamine Task Force, responded to properly dispose of the lab.

The BCSO, along with the Fifth Judicial Drug Task Force, reminds everyone that if they see suspicious containers to not touch the containers, or if they suspect meth activity in their neighborhood, call 911 immediately.
