A Sunday night accident resulted in the death of a 30-year-old Sevierville man.

Sevierville Police Department (SPD) officers responded to the reported traffic crash at approximately 6:19 p.m. April 15 in the 400 block of Old Knoxville Highway (just north of intersection with West Main Street).

According to SPD Officer Mike LeQuire, a 1997 Yamaha motorcycle driven by 30-year-old Daniel L. Gravley of Sevierville was reportedly traveling south, and a 2005 GMC pick-up truck driven by Thomas Graves of Sevierville was traveling north. The two vehicles apparently collided in the northbound lane.

Gravley was transported via Lifestar air ambulance to the University of Tennessee Medical Center with serious injuries; he was pronounced dead early this morning. Graves was transported to LeConte Medical Center with minor injuries; he was treated and released.
