Winners for the Sevier County 4-H Essay Contest for 2011 – 2012 have been selected. More than 2,550 entered this year’s contest and winners were named in five different categories.
The essay topic was, “Keep Sevier Beautiful: Who are they? What do they do? What would you give them for their tenth anniversary?”
The contest was sponsored by Keep Sevier Beautiful along with support from Smart Bank. Keep Sevier Beautiful provided ribbons for all participants along with cash awards as listed below.
Overall savings bond winners were: 4th grade –Olivia Ward, Boyds Creek Elementary; 5th grade – Caziah Rockett, Seymour Intermediate; 6th grade – Sean Collins, Boyds Creek Elementary; 7th and 8th grade – Myle Harrell, Catons Chapel; 9th – 12th grade – Lauren Jenkins, Pigeon Forge High School.
