The Seymour basketball team has been very busy while others have been enjoying their time off during the Christmas break.

The boys hosted their first Annual Seymour Christmas Classic at Seymour High School.  Teams were here from across the state of Tennessee as well as other states including Kentucky and Alabama.  One team came from as far away a Memphis.

The teams included Seymour, Kings Academy, Grainger, Edmonson County (KY), G. W. Carver (Memphis), Elkmont (AL), Jellico and McMinn Central.The Eagles won all three of their games as they defeated Jellico 89-87 in a close high scoring contest. Top scorers were D. J. Griffin 18, Logan Jenkins 15 and Eric White 14.
