Spectators braved the cold last Saturday to line Chapman Highway for the annual Seymour Christmas Parade.
Hundreds of people turned out as the Seymour Volunteer Fire Department, Seymour High School Marching Band, churches and more turned out to thrill children and adults alike.
“They gave out a huge amount of candy,” said parade participant Jennifer Cooper.  “The kids were so excited; they were holding umbrellas and bags to catch the candy.”
Close to 100 floats lined the highway from Seymour Septic Service to Kroger as friends and neighbors cheered.
“The one thing I enjoyed more than other parades was the sense of community involvement,” Cooper said.
