Seymour High School student Hannah Williams was one of only 140 chosen to perform an original song along with other Stagedoor Manor students – out of more than 400 who applied.
“I’m excited, it’s a great opportunity,” she said. “Not many people get to do it.”
Following the opening, the students will march the entire length of the Parade and escort Santa Claus into Herald Square for the NBC national telecast's finale.
Stagedoor Manor is widely recognized as the country's premiere training ground for young performers from all over the world who come to perfect their skills in acting, singing and dancing. Their students represent 27 states, as well as Canada, Jamaica, Sweden, and Saudi Arabia. In addition to Williams, Sevier County will be represented by Gatlinburg-Pittman student Aaron Myers. The third Tennessee student, Riley Smith, is from Memphis.
