The Seymour Eagle boys bowling team is still undefeated at 8-0.  They recently cleared a tall hurdle by defeating Catholic with a pin fall of 2,731 to 2,682.  
The Eagles took the early lead after the first game.  They lost the second and took the third game to close the match.
High scorer for Seymour was Bryan Woodward with a 209 and a 597 series score which led the team.
He was followed by Dylan McClure at 543 and Cody Cravens at 540.  “It was a close match we started great but had to come back to win after that second game.  The boys gave a good effort,” said Seymour bowling Coach Charles Ogle.
The Lady Eagles were also victorious over the Lady Irish with a total pin fall of 2,259 to 2,138.
Starting much like the boys, the girls also took the first game 6-2.  After splitting the second game, the Lady Eagles closed strong taking the third game and the match.
High scorer for Seymour was Sarah Disney with a 160 followed closely by her sister Michaela Disney with 158, a third Disney sister Ruth with a 146.
Series scoring for the Lady Eagles was led by Michaela Disney with a 420, followed by Marissa Disney with a 386 and Sarah Disney with a 377.
“I was proud of our girls.  They’re doing great this year,” said Ogle.  “Catholic is a tough team to beat.  Both our boys and our girls did it.”
