Seymour High School will present William Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” this weekend.
The theatre department will perform Ken Womble's adaptation of this play, directed by Danielle Smallwood.
“I am extremely excited to have such a group of talented, dedicated students so we are able to produce an incredible play for people in the community," Smallwood said.
This performance will be the first full production the Seymour Theatre Department has produced in seven years.
The drama department has almost doubled in size in recent years.
The growth in the department, according to Smallwood, is due to the overwhelming success they've had when presenting children's theatre to Seymour Primary and Intermediate Schools.
Seymour High School Theatre Department invites community members of all ages to come join them for a wonderfully enchanting evening.
Performances will be held at 7 p.m. Nov. 15, 16 and 17 at Seymour High School, 732 Boyds Creek Hwy.
Tickets will be available at the door and are $8 for adults and $5 for students.
