Maryville College senior center Brad Eich, a native of Cookeville, Tennessee, was named as a 1st Team Academic All-District selection by the College Sports Information Directors of America following his 2011 campaign.
Eich, a physical education with teacher licensure major, has excelled in the classroom with a 3.75 cumulative grade point average.
On the football field, the team captain has helped the Scots earn a 4-5 record with a three game win streak going into their season finale. He is a two-year starter for the Scots and was named 2nd Team All-USA South in 2010 for his excellence on MC’s offensive line. He is the son of Daniel and Cindy Eich.
As a 2011 Capital One Academic All-District selection, Brad will be considered for Academic All-American honors by CoSida voting members. All-American selections will be announced at the end of November.
