Tiffany Flynn immerses her students at Seymour Middle School in history during and after school hours.
Flynn is in her sixth year. She taught sixth grade at the beginning of her career and two years ago got bumped up to eighth grade.
She teaches English and History now and feels this is right where she is supposed to be.
“This is the grade level I am the most comfortable with,” Flynn said.
Outside of school, Flynn plans events for the History Club. The trip to Washington is a popular trip that is just for students in the club.
She hopes to someday expand the club to include guest speakers and take part in History Day.
“I had really good history teachers and that’s where my desire to teach that came from,” said Flynn.
She also participates in Academic Field Day and a trip to Fort Loudon. She enjoys field day because it is a chance for her to see how smart her students are.
Flynn is continuing her education by pursuing her Master’s Degree through an online program with Arkansas State.
There is no end in sight for Tiffany Flynn and her career teaching students.
“I love interacting with the kids and hoping I will make an impact,” she said.
