The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, will celebrate Homecoming with an in-state football match-up and a variety of events for alumni and fans of all ages.
"The Clash of the Tennesseans" will pit the Volunteers against the Middle Tennessee State University Blue Raiders on Nov. 5, in Neyland Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
Homecoming activities begin Nov. 4. The first UT Alumni Legacy Golf Classic will be held Friday morning at Williams Creek Golf Course. That afternoon, UT quarterback legend Condredge Holloway will serve as grand marshal of the traditional campus Homecoming parade.
The parade showcases student organizations' entries in the All Campus Events Homecoming competition and the second annual Little Vols in the Parade, with children age 10 and younger riding on decorated wagons, strollers or tricycles.
The Office of Alumni Affairs' signature Homecoming event, Party in the Park, will begin three hours before the football kickoff in Circle Park on UT's campus.
The event will feature live entertainment, the UT pep band, and cheerleaders, as well as activities for children. Two hours before kickoff, guests will enjoy the world's largest Moon Pie, courtesy of the Chattanooga Bakery. The cost is $12 for adults and $8 for children age 10 and under.
Colleges and student organizations also will host reunion activities through the weekend. For a list of all event details including registration information, visit http://tinyurl.com/3sntrv2
