





The Scots of Maryville College took a 3-0 lead to half, and cruised to a 4-0 victory against Bryan College in Dayton, Tennessee on Tuesday.
Maryville was sparked by senior midfielder Mandy Seiler. Seiler, the Sweetwater, Tennessee native, scored the first goal of the game with the help of Ashley Howarth and also scored the second from Amber Ortiz. The Scots would add a third goal before the end of the first half when Alexis Franco found the back of the net.
Three goals were more than enough for the combination of Michelle Foulke and Megan Nugent. The pair of goalkeepers held the Lions off the board and earned the shutout. The Scots would add a fourth goal in the second half as senior Jordan Chase scored off a free kick.
“Our ladies have continued to play solid down the stretch and tonight was no different. We are starting to peak at the right time of the year and I’m excited to see what this group is capable of in the coming weeks,” said assistant coach Jon Baker.
With the win the ladies move to 11-3-2 on the year.
