The USA South Athletic Conference has released their weekly league accolades for action ending on Oct. 23.
Maryville College’s Kendyhl Rodgers, in his first collegiate start in the Scots’ secondary, was named football defensive rookie of the week following his standout effort against Averett University.
The freshman defensive back from Dundee, Florida tallied seven total tackles and a pass breakup in a 45-22 win over USA South foe Averett. Rogers tallied four solo tackles and three assisted take downs.
He also had an interception called back after a Maryville penalty. Also Nominated: Keltcey Richardson, Methodist.
