October in the Smokies is best known for its beautiful fall colors and all the festivities that go with it, but people also wear pink to support Breast Cancer Awareness month.
There are different ways to support Breast Cancer Awareness, especially at the Quality Inn Interstate. General Manger, Elsie Brown, is excited to be a part of Breast Cancer Awareness month.
The entire staff is getting involved to show their support. The housekeeping staff will be wearing pink shirts this week, and the lobby will be decorated with pink balloons.
The Quality Inn Interstate will give special discounted rates to their guests who mention “Think Pink BCA” and stay with them Oct. 27 through 31. Pink cookies and pink lemonade will also be served to all guests and visitors during those days.
It is Brown’s hope that everyone will get involved in doing something to show their support for Breast Cancer Awareness.
“Participate in the walks, buy something with a pink ribbon on it, dye your hair pink or if that is too drastic for you, simply stop by the Quality Inn Interstate for some pink cookies and lemonade. If everyone would do just a little bit, we will find a cure,” said Brown.
