Arrington Vineyards, winner of the Wines of the South competition, and six competition category winners will be featured at the Tennessee Food and Wine Festival on Oct. 21 and 22, at the Knoxville Convention Center.
The festival will feature 100 exhibit booths filled with vendors selling and sampling Tennessee food and wine products. Two stages will provide guests with practical and gourmet food preparation tips.
Guests will include celebrity chef Darren McGrady, former personal chef to Princess Diana, Peter Glander, executive chef for Ruby Tuesday and others.
A variety of classes will be held, such as culinary lessons for middle and high school students, to beer-brewing and barbecue and wine-pairing for adults.
Advance tickets are $10, tickets at the door are $15 and wine sampling is an additional $10. The expo is free for children under 10.
The festival is a project of UT’s Department of Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management designed to raise awareness about Tennessee food products. Proceeds from the event will go toward student scholarships.
