On a wet and muddy night, the Scots were unable to slow down the Pioneers of Transylvania losing 3-1.
Transylvania would strike first in the 18th minute. Maryville’s only answer of the match came from Ashley Howarth in the 35th minute. This knotted the game at one, and the score would remain tied until the second half.
The Pioneers struck twice in less than two minutes midway through the second half to go ahead 3-1. Transylvania would never relinquish control.
“Bottom line, we didn’t play very good tonight. We are a better team than we showed tonight and that is the disappointing part,” said head coach Pepe Fernandez.
With the loss Maryville brings its record to 3-2-2 on the year.
