The Pilot CrossKnox 10 Miler is a point to point race run mostly on City of Knoxville Greenways. The race begins on Hazen Street at Morningside Park and finishes just before Bearden Elementary School in West Knoxville. 5K course is also a point to point walk to World’s Fair Park.
Buses will run from the finish lines taking participants back to the start area where they can enjoy food and fun.
Registration fee is $25 through September 30, 2011. Members of the Knoxville Track Club receive a $5 discount until that date. Registration fee for late and race day registration is $30 and no discounts apply. Cost for the 5K Fun Walk is $20 through race day. Anyone choosing not to get a t-shirt can deduct $5 anytime. Race day registration is available and will open at 12:30 pm at Morningside Park on October 16 and will close at 1:45 pm. There is an optional packet pick-up and late registration on Friday, October 14, from 5 pm to 7 pm at Tyson Park.
New this year, overall winners will receive prize money. The 1st Place Male and Female will receive $250 each while 2nd Place Male and Female will receive $150 each. The 3rd Place Male and Female will receive $100 each. All prize money will be mailed.
