An inmate at the Sevier County Jail was taken to a local hospital after suffering a seizure Wednesday night.
Robert Mason, 31, of Gatlinburg, was serving on a charge of driving on a revoked license. The incident highlights a string of medical cases involving inmates with seizures.
Billy Duane Foster, 38, died Feb 27.after suffering seizures. He was taken to the medical wing and later found unresponsive.
He was pronounced dead at LeConte Medical Center. According to his autopsy, he died due to heart disease.
Another Sevier County jail inmate, Derek Pitts, also died in February. Autopsy results pointed to a drug overdose and health problems.
