The three Friends groups (Seymour, Kodak and King) that support the Sevier County Public Library System will hold a combined Used Book Sale now through Oct. 1.
It is being held at the King Family Library, 408 High Street in Sevierville. There are thousands of books in all categories for sale. Hardback books are $1, paperbacks and children’s books are 50 cents.
New this year, the first day of the sale, Sept. 23, is a “Members Only Preview Sale.” Only members of one of the Friends Groups supporting the library system can gain entrance to the sale. Memberships are available at the door.
The final day of the sale, Oct. 1, will be a “$5 Bag Sale.” All the books that can fit into a bag the library provides will be $5.
Sale dates and times are: 2 to 7 p.m. Sept. 23; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 24; 9 a.m. t 7 p.m. Sept. 26; 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 27 and 28; 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sept. 29; 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 30 and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 1.
The Friends groups use proceeds from the sale to support the different branches of the Sevier County Public Library System.
