Seymour’s new Weigel’s is starting to take shape, with the company eagerly awaiting their grand opening.
Weigel’s chairman Bill Weigel previously indicated that the store was slated for a late November, early December opening.  This comes after a long legal battle with Sevier County over a license to sell beer.
Sherry Faust, with Weigel’s Corporate, said that they usually hold a grand opening about two weeks after the store officially opens.  With construction still in the early phase, no concrete date has been set.  However, company officials are expecting work to proceed smoothly.
“Everything is on schedule,” Faust said.
