No one was injured in a fire that completely destroyed a home in Seymour last Wednesday.
The blaze occurred around 3 a.m. in a house on Old Sevierville Pike. Kevin Nunn, assistant chief with the Seymour Volunteer Fire Department, said that the structure was totally engulfed by the time they got the call.
SVFD was the only department to respond, though Nunn indicated that the damage negated need for any more personnel.
“There was so much structural collapse, no other agencies were necessary,” Nunn said.
Nunn had no information regarding the fire’s cause. The Sevier County Sheriff’s Department is investigating.
